Hey guys, this is Evan from EZ Origami.
And today I'll be teaching you how to fold an Origami 6-Fold Heart designed by Stéphane Gigandet.
This is a very simple model and it's perfect for any specialoccasion.
This model requires one square sheet of paper.
If this is your firsttime folding this model, I recommend using a 3" or larger square with thesame color on both sides.
And once you've prepared your paper, then were going tostart by folding up this bottom right corner directly in between these two topcorners here.
So we're going to do that by first pulling up the bottom edge, justlike this, and you'll see that there's no exact reference for this crease.
So what we want to do instead is try to make sure that these four triangles are all thesame size.
So you may have to slightly adjust the paper just to get it in thecorrect position.
And once you've done that then you can make your crease.
Andnow we're going to slightly rotate the model so that the folded edge is nowheld horizontally.
And then we're going to fold in half vertically.
So we're going to take this right corner and fold it over to the left corner.
So we're basically just foldingthe entire model and half.
And once the corners and the edges are aligned, thenyou can make your crease.
Then we're going to slightly rotate the model once again, andyou'll already see that the heart is starting to take its shape.
And now we'regoing to slightly round off the shape by folding down these two top corners.
So we're going to start with this top right corner, and what we want to do is grab the twolayers from behind, and we're simply going to fold it down likethis.
I like the fold it down about half way to this edge here.
So we're just going to fold it down like this then you can make your crease.
And once you have that, thenwe're going to do the same thing on the left.
So once again we're going to grab thetwo layers from behind and we're going to fold down the top left corner justlike we did on the other side.
And from here you just want to make sure that bothof these triangles are about the same size, and then you can make your crease.
And now we're going to fold in the left and right corners just to round off theshape of a bit more.
So we're going to start with this right corner here, and what wewant to do is grab the paper from behind and we're going to pull the corner overto the left just to slightly round off the shape, just like this.
And then you canmake your crease.
And then we're going to do the same thing on the left corner sowe're going to grab the two layers of paper from behind and we're simply goingto fold them over to the right, just like we did on the other side.
Andonce both sides are roughly symmetrical, then you can make your crease.
Andonce you've done that on both sides, then you can turn the model over, and yourOrigami 6-Fold Heart is complete.
