Before we cut them out we want to paint them.
And that way we're going to leave them to dry and they can dry nice and flat.
Firstthing I'm going to do is create with the marker that we used for outlining, the veininessof the wings.
And we do that by just drawing the lines out and V-ing them off, just likethat.
However these come out, it will look just fine.
You can be as creative as you want.
And we're going to give it just a minute for the marker to dry before we start applyingthe paint.
Now at this point we can do two things.
We can either apply an acrylic paintwhich will look fine.
It'll cover a little bit more, more of an opaque covering, whereasI like to use the tempera glitter paint which will give us a more of a fragile, delicatelooking wing.
What we do is take our paint brush and our paint and we just smooth iton.
We can use several different colors of this glitter glue, glitter paint and blendthem together.
And if your marker runs a little bit, it's okay.
It only adds to the beautyof the wing.
And if we have young children doing this and they're going out of the lines,it's okay too because we're going to end up cutting these out.
